Say Hello To Salem!

Salem is a "wiggle my bottom" type of boy! Salem was first picked up as a stray in a rural high kill gassing pound. He was brought here to the rescue where he was scared of everything. He would shy away if you even touched his collar, he didn't want to come out of his crate. Then over time and being in a home environment, Salem has turned into one of the happiest dogs we've known. He constantly wags his tail...more
Say Hello to Finx!

Finx is one of our younger boys here at the rescue. He came with the rest of his family, and he's a bit on the skittish side. He does enjoy taking food from you through the bars, but he's still not sure he likes being held that often. He has had roommates before and he's usually pretty good with them, but he kinda does like the cage to himself.....more

We are the family that adopted Belinda on May 17, 2009. Since she was a surprise birthday present for my husband we let him name her. After much deliberation and a round table discussion with the family he came up with Tess. Anyway, I wanted to send you some pictures of her. She is doing very well. Her first couple of weeks with us was kind of a whirlwind but she handled it like a champ. We got home Sunday evening, and my son and his golden retriever, Ginny, came home from Pittsburgh for the week. So we had two dogs and three cats in the house. Ginny and Tess get along great and can play for hours at a time. The Saturday after we picked her up we left for vacation and drove to Gouldsboro, Maine (About 45 minutes above Bar Harbor). Tess loved Maine, not quite sure about the cold water and waves but all in all she loved hiking and crawling all over the rocks. She traveled very well. We’ve been home for two weeks and she has adjusted quite well. She is definitely a sweetie and so pretty. I have attached a few pictures from our trip and at home.
P.S. You were right. She does love her bed and toys.
Thanks for letting us adopt her. She is loved very much and spoiled already. (She usually ends up in bed with my husband and I after her morning potty call and during any thunder storms.)
Thanks again!
Lisa
